About Our Club

How can I become a Sponsor?

The Saponi Stickball Club is a non-profit program that falls under Eastern Woodland Lacrosse, a 501 c 3 organization. At Eastern Woodland Lacrosse, we are trying to launch healthy lifestyle workshops that include discussions from a native american nutritionist (that focus on a more pre-colonial diet), different workshops held across the state and marketing materials.

Player registration fees do not cover the full cost of running our Club. We rely on our valuable Sponsors to help provide the youth of the area an opportunity to learn and play lacrosse. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Please review and complete the Sponsorship Opportunities and Registration form found in the Documents folder on the Home page

How can I get involved in the Saponi Stickball?  The Saponi Stickball  Lacrosse Club currently has an active Board that manages all the details necessary to run a youth sports program, from registering players, securing fields, ordering uniforms, disseminating information, creating schedules, organizing volunteers and managing budgets.  Each person takes on a task or two (or three…), all working together to create a solid program for the youth within the area. If interested in securing a Board position, or just in helping out, please contact our Board President,

How can I help support the Club if I don't have time to give?  We rely on our valuable Donors to help support our Club.  On the right side of the Home Page are two different tabs.  The first is a Donation tab where donations can be made.  Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated!  The second is the Smile.Amazon tab which has instructions and links to both where Saponi Stickball under the Eastern Woodland Lacrosse umbrella can receive funds from Amazon.

How can I become a Coach?  We welcome new coaches, no lacrosse experience required.  What is required is adults that enjoy working with student athletes, developing a good rapport, providing a positive experience, and focusing on the character and integrity of both the game and the players.  Coaches must be members of U.S. Lacrosse (which costs $55), complete a background check, become PCA (Positive Coaching Alliance)-certified, take the U.S. Lacrosse Level 1 Coaching course and sign a Coaches Code of Conduct form.  New this year is also passing the Age Level Rules Test prior to coaching.  If interested in exploring coaching opportunities, please contact our Board President, for more specific information.
